Sea freight is the backbone of China–Indonesia trade. For most cargo over 2 CBM it is by far the cheapest option, and under DDP terms we turn a complicated multi-leg journey into one signed rate sheet: pickup, export, ocean, clearance, duty, delivery — all included.
FCL vs LCL: Which One Fits Your Cargo?
- LCL (Less than Container Load): 0.5–15 CBM. Your cartons share a container with other cargo bound for Indonesia. Best for small and medium e-commerce shipments.
- FCL (Full Container Load): 20ft (28 CBM) or 40ft/40HQ (58/68 CBM). Your own sealed container — faster handling, less inspection exposure, best unit price above roughly 15 CBM.

Sea Freight Transit Times
- South China → Jakarta: 7–12 days port to port; LCL cargo normally reaches our Indonesian warehouse 15–20 days after container loading, clearance and delivery included.
- North China (Ningbo/Shanghai) → Jakarta: 10–15 days port to port.
- Onward to Surabaya, Medan or inter-island destinations: add 3–8 days depending on schedule.

The only things excluded are cargo insurance (recommended, approx. 0.3% of cargo value) and any storage caused by the consignee refusing delivery.

An all-in DDP rate — pickup in China, export declaration, ocean freight, Indonesian import clearance, duty, VAT and door delivery are all inside the price. Minimum charge 1 CBM.

Quota-covered categories
Textiles — including grey fabric, non-woven fabric, underwear and headscarves — and stainless-steel kitchenware sit on Indonesia’s import quota list and normally require an import approval (Persetujuan Impor) before the shipment can clear. We hold quota allocation for these categories, so your goods do not wait for a new approval to be issued. Clearance stays compliant, stable and fast, and the quota handling is covered by the all-in rate.
If your cargo is outside these categories, send us the product name and material — we will confirm whether it moves on the same rate or needs a separate quotation.
Sensitive and Restricted Cargo
Batteries, liquids, powders, cosmetics, food-contact items, and branded goods need pre-approval before booking. Send us the product name and, if available, the MSDS or ingredient list — we will confirm feasibility and rate within hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is LCL charged?
By CBM (length × width × height ÷ 1,000,000 per carton). If a shipment is heavy (over ~500 kg per CBM), weight-based rates may apply — we always quote the cheaper of the two for you.
Can you load containers at my supplier’s factory?
Yes. We can send a truck and supervise loading, or receive goods at our Guangzhou warehouse and stuff the container there with proper tally and photos.
What happens if my goods get a red-lane inspection in Indonesia?
Our Indonesian clearance team handles the inspection on site. Physical inspections usually add 2–5 days; under DDP any inspection-handling costs within our standard scope are ours, not yours.
